Today Meridies differs from her original design only in her standards of comfort and safety. Her construction of teak hull, decks and super-structure on oak frames and keel remains true to her original specification.

'Down below' the different cabins are fitted in a variety of timbers, the wheelhouse and aft stateroom are in mahogany, whilst the galley, heads (bathroom) and three cabins are in teak. In 2001/2 Meridies underwent an extensive refit, which has included a complete mechanical and structural overhaul, plus much interior renovation.

Full safety equipment has been added as have a vast number of other improvements in keeping with her original build standards. Original fittings have been refurbished and a traditional clinker sailing dingy sits on the aft deck, where fixed cruising seats allow you to enjoy the experience safely and comfortably.
